Inventors' Handbook

You have an idea for an invention. What now?

Is there market demand?
Is the idea worth pursuing?
How do you build a team and get investment?
How do you write a business plan for an invention?
How do you go about protecting your invention?

The EPO Inventors’ Handbook is a great place to start for tips and advice for transforming an invention into a commercial product.

I particularly like the advice on disclosure strategy / protecting your early-stage idea:
‘Revealing broadly what it is (‘a novel mousetrap') may be safe; revealing what makes it novel is dangerous.’

Worth a look!
