Webinar | Innovation, IP and Looking Forward in a Crisis

Posted on

The resilient, smart, determined and skilled folk of the Highlands will innovate out of this current crisis, we have done it before, we shall do it again – how can we make this/do this/build this/create this? How can we protect this and give it the best chance of success?

Small businesses are increasingly aware of the importance of innovation, of protecting their intellectual property (IP) and using IP to support new ventures – making it a useful business tool.

This is not always easy, especially at times like these. Studies show having a sound, knowledgeable and positive approach to IP can increase your chances of success and help give your business or business proposal credibility and value. Small steps can make a big difference.

Businesses and individuals looking at their next project or innovation may usefully think about:

  • how to give a new venture or project, whether in a proposed, new, or existing business, the best chance of success using IP;
  • how to learn enough about IP, both free and registrable IP, to turn it into a useful business tool to open doors and conversations as well as protect assets, rather than a barrier to entry.

We are delighted to be delivering a webinar on this topic for the Inverness Chamber of Commerce on Thursday 2nd July 2020 at 11am. Members are free and non-members £10 +VAT.
